New CZ-21 Has Arrived

Bayoutalker

New member
I finally broke down, did a little shopping and ordered my new CZ-21 and it arrived Monday! Thanks to Rich at Colonial for a great deal. Now I just need to find some time to try it out....DARN WORK!! :throw:

When you do get out, I'm looking forward to hearing about how you do with your new CZ-21!

How's that CZ-21 working out for you? I love mine on the beach and in the lakes. When I hunt lakes I swing very slow running it as hot as it goes. The depth is fantastic.

Bam a new CZ21 sounds like you are headed for some fun times ahead. What sized coil did you get with it? The 10.5 or the 8?

I got the 8" coil. I still have not been able to really try it out yet. The weather here has been horrible with lots of rain and cold temps (for Southeast Texas). It is about a 2 hour trip to the beach for me so it will have to wait for some decent weather. In the mean time, I am still trying to get it set up the way I like it and getting a bit of practice with it in my yard and a few local places. So far I have found a few beer bottle caps, pull tabs, etc but nothing worth keeping. It is going to be a learning experience with getting used to the different tones. So far what I thought were high tones obviously aren't. :lmfao:

Cliff, Not sure about on land as I do not use my CZ-21 on land but you will love it on the beach and in the lakes. You get 3 basic tones. High, medium and low. I hunt in all metal (0 setting) as you get better depth on that setting. No doubt about that. Once I get a hit, I analyze the target by switching to (1) which will give me a tone. I do not dig the low tones anymore. I did for a couple years but almost never found anything. A nice high tone is usually a coin or silver jewelry. A medium tone is the one you want. Gold jewelty and nickels. Of course you get other trash that sounds good like pull tabs and fishing sinkers on both medium and high tones but not much you can do about that. If you want to chat about it in detail just contact me off my website.

It took a little looking but I finally found it. When I tried to save it to my "Favorites" it said it was already there!! I had not remembered going there before but obviously I had. Thanks for reminding me. It will take quite a while to read everything that is there.

Here is the current site for others who want to find it: http://web.archive.org/web/20080202052433/http://thegoldenolde.com/oldego3.htm
