Hello everyone.

I just got my new CTX 3030 this week and got out a little bit this morning before it got too hot. I'm not sure I know what I'm doing just yet, but I found a few clad quarters and dimes without a whole lot of trouble. I've never used a Minelab before, but I like what I see so far. I'm headed to the beach next week for the first time with the CTX. Is the stock beach program a good one or is there a better modified version that I should be looking at?

Try the stock pattern, or if you go on YouTube you can look for and subscribe to Gonehunting's channel and watch how he sets his Ferrous-Coin mode up. Pretty easy to do, and you'll be able to run wide open with zero discrimination. Since you're new to the CTX I would suggest working it on the stock programs first to get a feel for the way it handles. Good luck at the beach! Hope ya score big!

Welcome to the ctx 3030 family

THanks for the suggestion on GH's program. I looked at that and will probably get it installed just to have as a backup, but yes I think the stock program will be my first choice for now.
