Why a new version??-----The current CTX is supposed to be "upgradable"-----Thought that was the whole idea behind the CTX in the first place.

I emailed Cindy after her post yesterday and she said there is no upgrade for the CTX 3030 coming out.

The second part of the email gave me a little hope there could be a chance for something else to come out this year though.
She said,
"As far as new models of detectors as with any company out there we are always releasing new technology as it becomes available and all I can say is any detectors coming out would be released late spring and news would be available on our website"

I contacted them and their US sales manager....nothing, nadda, except maybe the chance for a free set of gloves. LOL. However, I have a weird feeling that a certain aftermarket company has a coil in the works. ?!?!? Hope so!

I would be happy with a 15" round Coiltek like they make for the X-Terra. It hit dimes deeper than my 13x17 on my CTX and glided through the grass better.
An 8" round coil would be nice too.
