I just purchased a new CTX and was told by dealer that they don't come with a owners manual. When you charge the battery and the wireless unit together do you have to turn the wireless unit on? How long does it take to charge? I have a DVD it came with, but my computer does not play it. Someone please help.
 
True regarding a manual. Just save it as a PDF and print a copy if you wish. The WM 10 does not have to be on when charging. A full charge is about three hours on both battery and WM 10. Are you using windows 7? Minot sure if it works on Windows 8.

Hey jerseyjim...at the top of the forum page is a 30/30 ctx resource ceter where you can find the complete owners manual. Hope this helps.
 
I have a MAC, it does not play for some reason. When I am charging the batters the green light flashes on the wireless unit, but on the charger the red light flashes. I read on the on-line manual that a fast flashing red light means something is wrong.How about a slow flashing red light? What do I do with that? I have been charging it for three hours. I am a nervous wreck. Thank you for your help.

As a Mac user as well, if you want do do anything with xchange2, you will need to put a windows program on your Mac. Otherwise you cannot download patterns, etc I used a copy of windows 7 and the Bootcamp app found on your Mac. It works great.
 
Hey jerseyjim, I am in NJ, I think thats where your from with a name like that. If you ever want to get together and detect I wouldnt mind helpng out if you need help with the new detector. I have had the CTX for 1.5 yrs and know it pretty well. Getting out tomorrow in Hunterdon County. Send me a message. HH Rocco.
 
In regards to charging the battery and WM 10, no red lights should be flashing. Only the green lights on both units should be flashing slowly. When both are fully charged, flashing will stop!
 
you can also download the minelab app on your iphone if you have one, it has the instruction manual

thanks I wasn't aware of that app. now how about the exchange on a mac please
