Hello All,

Just acquired a new CoinStrike. Should be here next week. Can't wait to learn this new machine.

Looking forward to some good tips from you long-time Coin Strike users.

Plan to purchase a new small coil for this machine once I get some time on it.

Best regards,

Keith Parker

It's an awesome machine once learned....but the best tip I can offer is forget everything you know about your CZ-3d. This is a strange beast & far different, but quite fun after you get confidence with it.
Do a google search for the "Coinstrike homepage" for some great info. Also back up a couple posts & print out the MIke Hillis number chart. Tape it to your control box....it should help.
If you get back to Rhode Island I'll help you along as well.....
HH,
Bill

Have fun with it, and don't expect "instant gratification". It takes a while to learn, and I got my jump start thanks to all the great folks here on this forum. If you have a question...just ask! It's a good bet someone here has faced the same problem, and will have a solution... Like Bill said, go to this page:

for some great Coinstrike information...

for some, it takes more time. It took me a good 40-50 hours before I really warmed up to the C$, now it's my favorite unit. Give it time, it will WOW you. Just remember Bill's settings, 525, sensitivity 5, threshold -25 or even lower like -40 if need be.

It might be easier for you if you notch everything out but Hi-coin so that way you can gradually notch in targets slowly so you are not overwhelmed with noise because the C$ can be noisy in a slightly trashy area.

My opinion is this is one of the better detectors available today.

If you have moderate to heavy mineralized ground you will love it. At least I do.
