New Convert to the MX5

MX5 has done it again! I think it won over my granddaughter to our great hobby when we found 2 silver rings in about 3 hours time. She was tickled pink (We had to have a celebratory meal at KFC afterward!)

Got to send it in to get the tones fixed though. Turning it off and back on works fine; I just shouldn't have to resort to that with a brand new machine. Problem is, I just don't want to put it down long enough to send it in!

I'd feel bad for you, but your sig shows you have other toys to play with while it's being fixed

Very true but it's always hardest to put down the newest toy! I am pretty sure that the new machine is destined to be my favorite! Everything but the faulty tones has been VERY IMPRESSIVE!

When you have time would you mind giving your review on it? How it stacks up to other detectors you have used...I'm thinking about buying one
thx,
Dave

agreed.

I'm curious as to how it stacks up to the M6.
In another thread, I commented on how I was hoping the MX5 was a stripped down MXT (basicly, a C&J machine that could be pressed into nugget hunting).
But it seems to be more an evolution from the M6.

See my post on page 2 (haven't learned to create links yet) entitled

My first real hunt with the MX5 - observations

That was pretty thorough.
