I just got one messing around with it the other day. I am not exactley sold on it yet but I do think it is capable. I like how well it is built and the nice large screen. I guess I am asking which one of you here on the forum has one and your thoughts on it. How about depth?? I will try it out some more within the next week or so. It pin points good and the controls are easy to understand without reading a long detailed operating manual. I am used to an MXT but I want to give this one a try because of price and features. So anyone else??? Tim

Well i havent really got to use mine has the ground is froze like a rock, have put some coins on top of the ground and messed around, yes it pinpoints great and no problen seeing the screen from all angles, one guy complained about that, but if you look at his past detectors hes not happy with anything,,i did kinda thiink it wasnt real hot on a nickle at least on top of the ground in fact i probley wouldnt have dug,but i like everthing else about it audio very loud, and the vco screams,,i dont see anything close that could touch it even for anothe hundred bucks, course the real test will be in he ground.

Jerrybhunt your a newbie here, just because I have tried a lot of detectors " Quote hes not happy with anything" Unquote doesn't mean I wasn't happy with em. There are plenty of people on this forum that have used alot more detectors then me.You don't know me so DON"T BE TRASHING ME ! end of subject.

Welcome! I am also a newbie here on the forums. I just recently went on my first hunt with my Coinmaster GT and was very happy with it's performance. I have not dug any really deep targets as of yet. You may have seen my other post. I found a gold ring 4 - 5 inches down with a strong solid hit! I would imagine it would have found it even deeper based on how strong it hit at 4 to 5 inches. The display was right on, showed the Ring above the arrow. I love the back lit display. I have used it already at dusk. My Dad just got the MXT (Non Pro) which does NOT have the back light and he was pretty envious of that feature. Anyway, if you find any tricks or hints please share as I am getting used to this machine as well. So far it has been dead on the money with pin pointing and finding coins etc. I am also curious if anybody has some real world tests or videos showing the differences with the 9" Stock Coil over a DD or Butterfly coil.

Do not take offense at this as I have owned a ton of units also. I have had some I wish I had kept but always had to try soomething else and most of the time I always go back to what I like. Tim

Man that is great. Your dad will fall in love with the MXT do not worry. That is great about the gold ring!!! I am buying an old house and I took it out there the other day. Even though the soil was kind of moist, the house being on an incline somewhat, the moisture was just about completely gone and the soil where I was digging targets was pretty hard and dry digging. I found some clad and some other odd and end stuff but I did not find anything old for that matter. Not even an whats it. I guess the conditions were not right at the time I used it. It just rained here last night so maybe within the next couple of days I will get her out and go down there again and see. I really do like the unit. If I had one complaint and this is not really a complaint, but if I could change one thing about it, I would prefer a straighter handle instead of the S rod configuration. I will try to post follow ups on this thread and when I figure out a few tricks I will post them on here as well. I hope others chime in and give some tips or just put down their thoughts. Tim

Congrats on the nice ring find,I tested my GT on a womens thin band womens ring and it hit solid and rang up nicely in the low teens in the foil range. Going to have to watch them foil numbers now LOL. PS ring was 14KT

Sorry woodchuck i guess i was just envious of all those detectors you had,i guess i shda been a little more thoughtful,,am really chomping at the bit to get out and give mine a good work out... and to the guy with the ring find..awesum..cheers
