New coild for 30, headphone problems & turning off . . .

Greetings from Wales.

Just a quick email to sayI have just come across a new 10.5 inch coild for the Xterra30. I didn't think this would be available until the new year.

Also has anyone else experienced problems with the headphone socket? Mine has completely stopped working so the machine is going back this week. I also still experience the machine turning itself off when its laid down! Its stopped for a while when someone suggested only using Duracells ( they are a tiny bit thicker), but despite that the bloody thing has started turning itself off again. Any answers to the above would be appreciated.

Found a lovely small Roman dolphin brooch and a Roman Wahtsthat on the weekend. Attached is a photo of the whatsthat! What the Hell is it? Is it a 5 headed seal, a rolling game, who knows? Very faint inscriptions are visible on the sides.

Hello Neil,

On the 10.5 inch coil these are DD's in 7.5kHz & 18.75kHz. Search back through the posts here and there were some people that field tested some of them a couple months ago I believe.

On the headphone jacks I haven't had any trouble on the three X-machines I have, but did have the speaker portion quit working on another brand machine I have that is about eight months old. As far as the turn-off make sure you mention that if you are sending yours back in. The battery coil springs might be getting compressed, so a loop of string or floss might be used to re-stretch them carefully.

seems like when the detector falls over to the right it can shut down. I took a heat gun and widened the stand and solved my problem.

My terra 50 has gone back for the speaker not working and the LED readout on screen is dimming to the poit I can hardly see it . Changed batteries and it did again after several hours.Getting The 70 .
