Thinking of buying a small coil 8 or 5 inch. Want to know if sunray coils are good or better than minelab coils. This will be used to hunt in park areas with my minelab explorer xs.
 
I have both. The X5 sees limited use since most of my sites can be handled by bigger coils. The X8 is the bomb. I have not put on my stock or WOT since I bought it. This is probably because I get really good depth and it makes the machine balance out real well. If I had to make a choice between the two, I'd choose the 8 incher as it sees the most use.
