Just got a new Sharpshooter coil so I went to my local park and hit areas I have scoured many dozens of times to check it out.
This thing was found in an area I might have gone carefully more than 100 because I have found many great things in this small site so I always return.
Surrounded on 3 ends by power lines, also.
Just getting used to it, pinpointing, stability, target separation and all that, I will write up my experiences with this thing a bit later.
One thing I can tell you is the sensitivity to small targets seems to be...excellent!
Filled with dirt when I got it out of the ground, couldn't figure out what it was but I know it broke off something.
After cleaning the dirt out of the middle I saw the patchwork pattern then it hit me...a part of a tennis racket charm, but missing the handle.
The outside cleaned off real nice, no mark but it sure looked like silver to me.
Later at home I tested it and it is.
No more than a gram...might not even weigh that much but it is silver and it counts.
Great detector, new coil....let the games begin!
