New Coil Finds A Few Keepers

Sooper Dave

Well-known member
I picked up a Sunray X-5 coil this week and I got to test it a little at an old site that I have hunted a lot. I had the Etrac set in TTF and went around the foundation of the old farmhouse. I have been over this area several times with other coils, this is the typical area that has a ton of nails from the roof. I made it all the way around the front porch and worked my way to the side and the X-5 got in between all the nails and was giving off a perfect dime signal. Sure enough it was a Rosie with a nail in the hole that left a stain on it! This coil works great! First day with it and find silver that was missed by me with other coils. I also found a flat button and a small stamped "Hunter & His Dog" I have no idea what it would have been on? Any guesses?

Nice dig Dave!

I love the "battle stain" (iron) on it. It adds class to the find and also shows what a great coil the X-5 is.:beers:

Great finds ! :clapping:

A Minelab E-Trac running in 2TF - with a 5" or 6" coil - a killer combo for sure !
