NEW: Bounty Hunter Platinum - How much and where???

Would like to find more information on the the new Bounty Hunter Platinum. There is a picture attached ...

Display with
- Numbers from 10 to 99
- Battery meter
- Notch and Disc settings
- Disc or no motion All Metal Mode
- Pinpoint Mode
- Selectable ID Tones from 1 to 4
- Sensitivity
- Volume
- Ground Grab Ground Balance
- Depth Readout

Back of the control housing with the one and only 9 volt battery needed.
The manual states 20 to 25 hours runtime.

Battery door in place. Fits nicely !
The coil connector is just plugged in without a ring to secure it. Note the holes for the speaker.

Lightweight and well balanced. The grip feels just right. The armrest can be moved up or down. The width is not adjustable.
The 8" coil does pretty well on the Platinum.

Airtests results:

Quarter and Nickel : 11"
Dime: 10"

Tests were done in Disc mode at max. sensitivity. (Detector was stable)

Answered my own question with a link here... Cabelas may be the only one who sells it:

Merchandise = $549.99
Postage = $16.95 (to New Mexico)
ORDER TOTAL = $566.94

according to: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?60,591999

so far cabellas is the only one , teknetics is suppose to start selling them, thought it was to happen in July, cabellas had exclusive rights for a time on the design, havent heard much on them yet

I sent a letter to First Texas with some advice on Marketing Strategies...A Sporting Goods Store, even Cabellas, is NOT the place to sell detectors...Especially at the price of the Titanium series...Folks in a Sporting goods store are not there to spend $1000 on a detector and accessories (well, most are not). Need to put these things out to the Dedicated dealers who specialize in Detector Sales....Looks like they have improved on some features, but kept that stupid plug in coil configuration...At least the coils will be interchangeable with other Bounty Hunter Brands...Still you will only have the 4", 8", and 10" coils to choose from, and the Fisher F4 coils...Really hope the next lineup goes with a screw on connector....It is the spot that causes the most trouble with falseing on the Bounty Hunters....

Coil that is pictured in the catalog that I received looks like the standard 8" coil that is on my Land Star, but I could be wrong, as I have not seen one live yet...
