New Beach Scoop Done

Stang12

New member
New beach scoop ready. Slightly smaller than the first one.
Thanks John

Very Nice, you put alot of work into that...should serve you well
.... looks like one of the steath bombers ...

Half tank/Half scoop! I admire your ingenuity! Make sure to get some nice shots or a vid of it in action!

Looks tuff.... just drilling the holes must have taken a month of sundays. Necessity ..... the mother of invention.

The body is aluminum, with a stainless lip. It weights 5lbs.
It was milled and drill on a CNC machine

Somebody has either a mig with a spool gun or a tig welder along with a plasma cutter and a metal brake! Nice looking scoop.....I bet it will dig really well with that stainless lip.

What gauge aluminum did you use? I bet with an aluminum handle you could shave about a pound or two off the weight of that scoop. Yeah wood is nice cause it floats....but hey....I've got a metal detector so if I drop in the water....I'd better be able to find it!

Those CNC machines are the cats butt! Really makes professional looking cool things to use. And your scoop is definitely a cool looking thing to use!

I decided I needed a handle on the basket. This handle can be removed if needed.

Perfect! Looks like a stealth ship :)
The handle is a good idea, but one must higher position. Help you lift up the scoop from the bottom.
Did you made blueprint?

That's some tight work John . . . very nicely engineered. I'll bet it works great for you . . .

Looks like a goodun. Thanks for posting it.

Looks good. But, you're going to need to raise your grab handle up about a foot and a half. Otherwise , your head is gonna be underwater every time you reach for it.
