The 9V batteries for my Vaquero do nor last for long; I have decided to use it with a pack or of 6 AA cells. The pack is made out of two pieces of 20 mm water-pipe and four tube plugs. The 9V battery is replaced with a piece of foam with the contacts. The wires are inserted into the handle. The result is much longer battery life, and better balance of the MD.
