Hey Barryl that's a great set up. I thought about doing something like that to my Pro months ago, but now seeing your great idea got something in mind. I'm thinking about something similar but with water proof clothes and running both (coil wire and headphone inside the shaft)..looks like this now, but when done will post photos. Treat it and dress it right, it will find good stuff...my theory anyway.

Nice! Did you make that straight shaft?

Also @ AsianDigger - Where do you put the slack or extra cable from the coil wire with that wrap you have in that pic. I like that too so it wouldnt get caught in the brush and help it be sleeker underwater, but my concern was what to do with the slack since I dont have my shaft extended even close to all the way.

In reply to BensJamming, depending on how long your shaft is, I have it just like my Pic, if your taller and use a longer shaft you don't need to wrap around the curve shaft.

Sounds Interesting would like to see pics. I don't do water hunting much except shallow creeks Got another one coming going to try a set up for another detector if I can make it work

Barryl when I get it all set up I will post some pictures. I don't hunt in water either, I do hunt in the rain sometimes, I found out that it doesn't get too much interference if you run the wire straight up instead of wrapping it. Before when I had the core wrapped around the shaft, on wet grass I noticed it chatter sometimes, moisture on grass must be conducting. Now with the core straight up no more chattering. Anyway I will post the final picture when it's completed. Happy hunting

Two cool setups here.
Barry- Is that stuff you can order, or did you make it yourself?
And I didn't even know you could run your cable straight...That would be nice! Lots of ideas floating round now, lol.

That looks great, Barry. Is it a plugger shaft or did you build it? If so, did you use the mountain bike "horns"? I need to do that one of these days!!

I like that cover where might a fellow find one of those I like the black set up

Thanks for the info, Barry! I just checked them out, and probably getting one soon. It's so aggravating trying to set the thing down and not have it tip over. Then when it does, it jerks on your headphones. Lots of good info on this site!
