New area yields a first :)

I received permission yesterday to detect an area that I thought had potential.Today, I brought out the xlt to see if my thoughts were correct.
After about a half hour I got a keeper that was from the time period I was hoping to find there.

1900 IH

After finding the IH, I was pumped and ready for silver. I dug a lot of junk for a while until a perfect sounding target in the quarter range was under my coil.

Man, I love sl quarters :super:

I didn't find anything else close by and continued to wander and find more trash until I dug this.

41Merc

Things got slow again for a while but began to pick up when I got a good dime signal at 4 1/2 inches

Nice lookin 1900 Barber

I reswept the hole and got a signal a couple inches away. It was bouncing in the 30's on my vdi at 5 inches down.

SWEET! This was a first for me: 1857 Flying Eagle :D

Again, I reswept the hole and got another signal at 7 1/2 inches. I moved some dirt around, stuck my NEW Vibra-probe in and found this.

1889 Seated dime (unfortunately I must have scratched it :veryangry: )

Didn't find anything after that, but what a fun day! A great variety, a first and silver. Can't ask for much more. Hopefully I can get back soon :)

HH All,
Matt
