New ace250's better then my ace250?

Dang

Its been awhile since I lurked these pages and I thought I read somewhere here or there that the new Ace 250's either are better at pinpointing, compared to the first Ace250's, or have better depth. I know we now have a larger coil and in-line probing avaliable. Anything else?
Oh yeah! If I send Garrett my 250 will thay make these internal improvments free of charge, if indeed there are any?

The first production 250 did make pinpoint a little hard, they did have a upgrade to correct this problem,I had mine done and it was like a new machine.

:thumbup:Hey thanks bob tx. I called Garrett and talk to brad with my serial starting#3504 and my ace 250 was upgraded. But still thank you for the info now i know it's me the problem and not the machine lol.

you know, that sounds familiar, seems like they all try to send the first batch out real hot,(and they do gain some depth)but then pull the gain back for falsing problems? When I bought my first new detector and had not been at long, I found it had pinpoint problems, but was real pleased with the unheard of depth I was getting in disc. mode, made the mistake of sending it in and it came back pinpointing great but lost several inches in depth(6" to be exact as I had already buried a dropped bullet in the back yard)

Yeah I've got one of the first made and I've yet to send it in. Got to do that soon but using it for a test now.

Until that outfit ceases and desists scamming the unwary public by selling "long-range locators" and shipping out used, repaired, or refirb "demos" as new equipment, simple answer is

<H1>"NO"</H1>

Kellyco is OK; bought my first detector from them.

Bought my new Ace 250 (arrived today) from Beetle 662 (a member of this Forum) . I highly recommend him; his service is outstanding and prices are right. And he remembers who you are after the sale:clapping:

Yeah they are generally OK but will slip it to you when you ain't looking. Chuck Clevenger is a good one to deal with. Call 1-800-999-9147

I field tested a coil for them awhile back and didn't get squat for it, not even Thank You. Won't be doing that again.
