New ace 350

Hi I'm new to the hobby and I just bought my first Ace 350 MD. I was wondering. Is it just me or the coil feels heavy after awhile?

Well, the new coil (DD) compared to the 6 x 9 of the 250 is slightly heavier, but not by too much.

Man, I can remember how heavy my old White's 6000Di Coinmaster got after swinging all day. It was just HEAVY!

Thank goodness for modern technology, making detecters under three pounds the norm!

Hope it gets better with you after more exercise and using it.

The GTI2500 used to be "lite" 15 years ago. Now it's heavy after swinging an ACE250 and AT Pro. The 5X8 Coil or the sniper will feel lighter on your 350. Good Hunting!

Gravity is stronger in the afternoon. ;)

Maybe shorten the shaft and make sure you don't have metal in your shoes? There's also the "swingy thingy" which is a strap arrangement to transfer the weight to your shoulder. Some folks do some custom rearranging of the control head and or batteries, changeup the shaft, etc.
