Hello everyone
I'm new here and new to this hobby I have just received my 150 yesterday and have not had a channce to get it outside yet ,I love it had a chance to play around with it in the house for a little
Going to have to wait for it to warm up a bit outside and when the snow startd to melt i think i will go to the massive snow piles in the mall parking lot and see what i can hunt down.
Has anyone ever done that i would like to hear your stories and what you have come up with
Thanks Watkinsman <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Snow piles should be a good place to hunt in winter.
What could be better than having everything that falls in the lot concentrated in one place.
I would use low discrimination, since putting on and pulling off gloves, fumbling for car keys etc could cause jewelry loss.
I have only detected them a few times and found the convoluted countour to require a small coil.
You might also want to take something like a Masons Hammer or pick since freezing and thawing can make the piles more like iceburgs than soft snow.
I did last winter eyball a dollar bill from 5 stories up in a parking garage.
So reccomend you give it a try!
