i was wondering how you guys like the 3 hz coil on the 705?i have used it a couple times over my dd 7.5hz coil seems a to go a little bit deeper for me but cant seem to get the sens up above 22

What is your ground phase setting when using the 3 kHz? The reason I ask is because concentric coils will not compensate for the ground mineralization as a DD coil might. Lowering the sensitivity on a concentric coil might be the price you have to pay if your ground has higher levels of mineralizatoin. In most of the wide open places I hunt, (with proper NC and GB) I can run the 3 kHz coil with a sensitivity of 28, without undue chatter. In those places, my ground phase setting ranges from the mid 30's to upper 40's. JMHO HH Randy

my settings some times i run in auto GB and some in man.but it varies because of the jersey soil some is good soil amd then you have sandy soil,unlike back home in PA. were the soil is all dirt.
