New 8" coil

Have got an 8" coil for my Explorer XS. Do I need to set my machine up any differently than when using the 11" coil? Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Happy NY & hunting to all.
 
I us the 8" coil almost all the time.It has good depth allso,(found standing liberty quarter at 11" ). When I got it I did not have to change any settings.
I find its easier to pinpoint with it too.
