New 6 inch coil very unstable , Need advise...............

I just got the new 6" dd 18.75 coil for my Terra 70. I hunted with it today but the coil would become very unstable at different times. I would have to turn machine off then start again. When it"s working its sounds great but when it starts going off when it becomes unstable it will drive you crazy. Do you think the coil may be bad from dealer?

The first thing I would do is try a different coil at the same location. And make sure your connector is screwed in tight. Never heard of anyone having any trouble with these coils but I guess there is always a first.
