Ordered a 5x8 DD coil for my AT Pro from Big Boys Hobbies. Not only did I receive it the next day, but Bart gave me a price below that advertised on the web. Looking forward to using it this weekend. Thanks for the great service Bart.

Congrats on the 5x8DD. I'm playing around with one on my AT PRO as well and haven't felt the need to put the bigger coil on yet.
I would not advertise getting something below price though, or pretty soon other venders will complain, and we'll all pay more. Garrett is pretty strict about it's pricing, and if they get compaints from other dealers about one specific dealer, they will make that dealer raise his prices or cut em off.
Happy hunting to ya.

Do you loose depth with this coil over the 9.5 X 11 coil that comes standard on the unit? I like the depth of my 9.5 X 11 but want to be able to be a little more selective on what I dig.

maybe a little depth loss, but it still goes pretty deep depending on soil cond. but the weight reduction is incredible(especially if you are already used to swinging the 8.5x11). also target seperation is better on the 5x8. i try to "paint" the area i want to detect with the coil. it causes me to go slow and find targets i could miss with a regular sweep of the area.
