New 1500 GTI

southern-digger

New member
I have done some research and have decided to order me a new garrett 1500 GTI, I will use this mainly for coin hunting, I am hoping I made a wise choice. I would love some feedback on my choice by some people who have used this detector. This will be my first garrett I have used just about every other brand. Thanks in advance for any feedback.:detecting::csflag:

Well, if you use it only for coins, you certainly picked the best coin hunting machine available. Garrett has taken target ID to a higher lever with the sizing option. Please be patient, as there is a learning curve with this machine. However, once you master it, you can make a guess to dig or not with a high probability rate of it being a coin, ring or junk. I would even hate to imagine how many less coins I would have dug had I not used the GTI 1500 or GTP 1350.

I use it and also field tested it when it first came out about eight years ago. It was designed for coinshooting and is probably the best coinshooter out there. If you have any problems you know where to come. When I ran the Garrett Classroom years ago ( precursor to this forum ) I helped a lot of new 1500 owners over the hurdles. The 1500 has a bit of a learning curve but easy to master. And with the new coil now available it is even better than before.
