finally, found a nice 14k gem stone ring the other day. not sure what kind of gem? maybe tourmaline? either way...i'm very stoked!!! yeah!!!:super:

Sk8....that may be "Mystic Fire Topaz"
Just a guess based off of a ring my wife has. The colors are very similar. If you google mystic fire topaz, you will see what I am talking about.
Great find, though, no matter the stone!!
HH,

That is a great looking ring!! Congratulations. Definitely a keeper!!

redclay, you nailed that call. just checked ebay & thats the gem "mystic fire topaz" without a doubt! thanks again guys! not change the subject, but, has anyone ever tried to pawn anything they found? if so, what type of response didi you get, if any?

It looks a lot like a Bermuda Lucky Stone which is a synthetic made by fusing four different types of quartz together. A very popular stone in Bermuda, especially with the tourists.
Nice Ticket,

BDA:cool:

In most cases, a pawn shop will hose you. E-bay (will rape you on sales fees) and Craig's list may net you some decent $. Selling to an idividual, will probably get the most $. Just figure around double or triple the gold scrap value and you should be in the ballpark, savvy? Use this to determine the gold scrap value of your pieces.http://dendritics.com/scales/metal-calc.asp
