Whenever I go out on the road to other states I dont find much. Right here at home I find a lot. I'm staying home from now on :)

Went to some sites I havent been to in about 6 months and dug these 106 coins, junk jewelry and 4 pieces of gold.

What a thrill to pull this 14 K chain and thick pendant out of the chipbark !! It was right next to the slide in the very small kids play area. At other sites I got the crucifix, no gold mark but my 22K tester says it's above that. I'll take it to the jeweler tomorrow for a final opinion. The 2 pendants are both stamped (417) = 10K.
What a great day for me, Steve in so az

Our club doesn't get to Arizona very often - especially just before you go out to hunt

Grass isn't always greener (well maybe the grass is) on the other side of the street - or is it the grass is always greener over the septic tank.

Sure are some fine looking items you found Steve. Congrats.

You should just put some posters up at all those parks with your name and address and have people mail you their jewelry and coins directly. It would save you a lot of time!!

Well Steve, I have to admit it... you are the "King of the Swings" :please: :please: :please:

Keep posting those finds! I get such a big kick out of them!

Joe

Here's what I have used for a long time. You scratch the item across the slate surface and then put drops of chemical on the scratch. The drops are 10k, 14k, 18k, 22 k. When the drop dissolves the scratch the karat is the next one lower. This one shown is a 14K test.
Look online for gold test kit, Steve inso az
