i had a similar problem with my sovereign 3 or 4 years ago.

when you turn it on, it goes all crazy.............maybe the switch is bad.............no clue

the switch was bad on the sovereign

she has been trouble free for many years, now a trip back to vegas is due.

friday i must try and track down my new excal. i lent it to a friend so he could use it on the O B X all this week, not sure what day he is returning.

so i will have to charge the batteries on the surfasplorer for this weekend.

What a bad time for your excalibur to go out of order. I hope you can track down your other detector so you can use it in the interim. At least you have some good backup options.
