Never assume it can't happen in a tot lot!!

I decided to hunt a bit tonight before we get more dang rain tomorrow. I hit a really huge tot lot in the area and discovered it had been cleaned out already by my competition! Dang, it's usually good for a few dollars and some nitro jewelry.. I hit another nearby tot lot and then decided to take a little drive. So this tot lot is quite removed from my normal stomping grounds and is also on top of a park that was once a private getaway spot for a local company. I started with the tot lot since I'm pretty sure they don't want digging in the park area and I was also close to the 11pm 'closing' time and towing is strictly enforced! Anyway I found a little over a dollar in change, the usual load of junk and then got a semi-decent penny signal. See below for the reason you don't ignore penny signals.....

Indeed! I wouldn't count on building a coin collection by hunting them, but you just never know what might be hiding under the mulch!

I have seen on other forums where people have found silver dollars in tot lots, you just never know where people will drop things!

I found an Eisenhour Dollar in a tot lot once... not silver but it sure surprised the heck out of me.
