Hey Johnny,
Where do you live? I'm in Reno and plan to visit
the old Ghost Towns and minning camps this
coming spring.
If interested, let's hook up for a day or weekend.

Jeff,
Thanks for your response back.
I presently live near Dallas, Tx., I am retired (Early retirement),
I do spend alot of time researching, and traveling for metal detecting. (been detecting for over 25 years).
I am planning a trip to Nevada, this coming summer for about 2 weeks. I will E-Mail you before I come there, I normally hunt alone, but it would be good to hunt together, some places I am researching now, for the possibility of gold.

Good luck to you till then, in MD'ing.

Johnny

Hey Jeff my name is Zack and i just started detecting and I am stationed in las vegas do have any tips or anything you might wanna share about nevada or maybe even do some hunting

Thanks,

Zack

Hi Zack
Thanks for the reply. You're too far way for a weekend. I live in Reno which is 8 hour drive.
I think BLM has some regulations on metal detecting etc. You might want to check it out.
However, I don't think the regs are ever enforced. I like detecting for gold nuggets, going to
old mine sites and dumps. The old timers left alot behind. Simply didn't have the technology.
Here's my e-mail...contact me thru it and we'll discuss more.
