Got out after supper last night, thunder rumbling to the west. Searched the Silver Mine again! digging on every signal now! Nails down to 10", no silver. At least I will have the area cleaned of trash
for later hunts! found a couple dollars in clad, not worth a photo. visited with a few parents and their kids, have a few new areas to search! Was a very good hunt, couple bucks and new treasure sites!
Happy Hunting! Mike

Sounds good!:thumbup:I've been playin' around with my GTA 1000 that my wife found at a garage sale a couple months ago. No great finds. Just junk and crusty clad. It's still good to get out and get the blood flowin'.:garrett::detecting: I've owned this model years ago and it's fun to swing one around again. I had forgotten how similar all the functions are to my CXIII (minus true all metal mode, of course).
Happy Hunting!:)

Yep, pretty similar. I never caught on to the GTA 1000 that I had. It was the first Garrett I owned and the "digital" nature of the beast was foreign to me.
Good detector, though.

I got out for an hour last night, I'm letting my silver mine rest awhile so I was hitting a few sites. Nothing much, 4 quarters, 15 zinc pennies, found 1 1944 wheatie. after finding over 30 silver dimes in four foot square area, i'ts tough to go back to searching other spots and finding clad! I got spoiled for sure!. I really love the belltone on the GTA's. I think I'm going to sell my GTA 500 and 1 of my GTA 1000 and buy a new green machine! I still like the style of that series of detectors, So many toys,so little time! HH:detecting: GO GREEN!!!!!
