Nemo...can you ID this bullet for me?

Found last weekend. Measures out at .54 and kinda got the look of a Gallager bullet but the flat base is throwing me off. You got any ideas? I'm thinking post Civil War. Slightly wormed on top but it does have rifling.

Steve: Looks like we will be seeing each other in March. How many lands and grooves does it have? You are right does look odd. Most Gallagers seem to have a high percentage of something other than lead. This doesn't look like it.

I too, believe it is post war. Old, yes. But post. Odd shape as mentioned. Appears to have 'wadcutter' intentions (for cutting perfectly round holes in paper targets) but it appears to have been loaded via the use of a ram rod. Solid base is usually associated with carbine use. Then again there are a number of rare, un-named projectiles from the American CW. Hang on to it.
