Interested in purchasing a Nel Thunder for my AT Pro. It's been out for a while now and was hoping to get some reviews/ feedback on this coil. Is it so much better than the stock coil? Any info appreciated.

Dear . I was used the nel thunder with at pro so to be honest . its great for the dry sand but on the beach forget it because you can't make ground balance and you will hear the false signal always even you try to make ground balance every second . so you should to know that .

Thanks for the info. I don't plan on using it on any saltwater beaches.

Well, I screwed up and bought the one for the AT GOLD. UUGGGH. I don't suppose they work interchangeably?

I mentioned buying the AT Gold to my wife, she didn't see the humor. Funny, I seem to remember her having a better sense of humor before we were married. Anyway-

Sent it back and got my refund today (paypal). Just purchased the CORS Cannon. From what I understand, it's the same animal just different label. The lake is down, way down, and my buddy from works wants me to locate his wife's long lost ring. They own a piece of land on the lake and he and his extended family camp and swim there. She lost the ring 25yrs ago so I'm hoping this new coil can help me find it. There is also and old homesite (pre 1936) located nearby. I doubt I'll find much there as it is usually underwater most of the year.

I have been using the NEL Tornado coil for about 4 months using it to go back over a well hunted permission, surprising what you miss with stock coils. The depth at which I am finding targets is amazing.

if you dont have a use for the nel coil...maybe we can talk about you selling it to me. sadly I dont know how to private message on this site.

I liked the Storm on my ATPro better than the Thunder on my ATMax.

I plan to get the Storm for my ATMax later this summer.
