NEL Coils

Hi All,
I have been using the 6" x 8" SEF coil on my Etrac for two years now, and am extremely pleased with it's performance in the parks. I am thinking of getting the NEL 5.5" x 9.5" Sharpshooter coil that is made in the Ukraine
and was wondering if anybody has used this coil on their Etrac? If anybody has any thought on this coil, I would like to hear their opinions on that coil option.
 
I have the NEL coil you mention. I have also owned the 8x6 in the past. I have done an air test video with it and also a video using the coil at a trashy park. You can find the videos on Youtube. I can not put links here.

OT: sorry for the hijack but Dirtfishing, along with many others, have some EXCELLANT videos!!!! DF's have been VERY helpful for this new Etrac user by showing the screen and hearing the sounds, etc........imho (thanks)....
 
Cant believe that you have been able to mention them on here :surprised: I cant even say the word Mel , Pel , no it just wont come out. lol

They are classed as illegal even though they may be good but unless they are sold in the US now by the forum sponsor you are asking for trouble .
 
After watching Bill_S do a comparison, I couldn't see a nickels difference in the 2, performance wise.
 
I have one on the Terra but I am not sure myself if its any better than the 10.5in 7.5khts . Still surprised its allowed to mention it on here unless the Mod's have not seen it here ?

I am not sure which coils I prefer , the SEF are heavy or at least the bigger ones , Coiltech I don't know but in the past they have not had the ones I liked , now ? the above being discussed here have all sorts but have only tried 3 . The very large one is too heavy especially for the ET/Explorer , the 13in is alright but I found it a bit too sensitive and rate the Ultimate better , the 12.5 x 8.5 may be their best but I am still unsure of that.

To balance the thread I will have a look at the Coiltech when I get the chance .
