NEL coils for the AT Pro ....

I've read so many conflicting threads on these NEL coils .....What's the skinny on these coils for the AT Pro ....I'm interested in getting a bigger coil for dry sand hunting ....Either a Tornado , or the 15 inch NEL ........Anyone using these NEL coils with success ? .....Have they changed the way they make them of late to better serve the AT Pro ? .....Thanks , Jim

Hey Jim, I recently purchased the NEL Big and I love it. You can read about my field tests on my blog. I have found silver at places that I have pounded and been skunked. Now that I have some hunts under my belt, I know how to use it a lot better and am finding stuff. And yes, for coverage, it's hard to beat. However, if you go really Big, you need some sort of harness or you will get very very tired quickly. Hope that helps!

NEL is in Ukraine.

Just letting him know. It may not be a good idea to order from there at the moment. Sorry I was too vague for your mind.

Golddigger in Raritan, New Jersey sells them. He is a sponsor on this site.

I don't have the NEL bigger coils, but do have the smaller 5.5 x 8.5" Sharpshooter and find it to have nice depth. It, however, doesn't have as good of target separation as the Garrett 5 x 8 and 11." Although, seemingly, you are seeking info on the larger coils for more coverage and added depth, Garrett's double d coils are the best of several others of various sizes I have used in recent years. They really have a very tight sweet spot for co-located target separation. My observation with the one NEL thus far, anyway. HH jim tn
