The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.

As much as I really dislike to write this I think it's for the best. I will tell the whole story so that everyone knows why I am giving Paul a bad feedback.

The deal was that I was to build Paul some rechargeable battery packs for his white's. He purchased the penlight holders and I was to turn them into rechargeable packs. So I purchased the batteries, and the parts to convert them. I also purchased a new and very nice smart charger. I also told him that money was tight and it would take me a while to get things done. I replied to every email he sent to me, and made sure I kept in touch. Payment was to be a trade, his white's prizm v for payment. Meanwhile while I was building the packs he listed the detector for sale or trade in the classifieds several times. I ask what was going on and he said that it was a mistake. So anyways, I told him that I was shipping everything out, and then I didn't have the money to ship it. So I told him I would ship it later, he went off saying how I scammed him and what not. Then he changed his mind and said to ship the packs when I got the money. Well I did, I sent everything to him, the newly built battery packs along with his charger and the new one that I bought him. Well much to my surprise, I haven't heard a word from him since he got the shipment. He won't answer any emails that I have sent to him or even answer any phone calls I make to him. I work very hard for what little money I make. Money for us is very tight right now. Every dollar counts, I can tell you that bills are all late and behind. I am out quite a bit of money on this deal, and no way to collect what is owed to me. I have no idea what to do, other than to warn everyone here about what kind of business Paul does. I trusted Paul, we all have a code of ethics for our hobby, but I guess that Paul does not live by these ethics. I was going to give this detector to my son for his birthday, but now I can't as I am sure you know why. I hope that if you do business with Paul that you might want to make sure you get paid first or something. I have learned my lesson and will never do work for anyone without being paid first or something so that I don't get burned again.

Paul this is for you. I hope that you enjoy your battery packs and that you make some good finds with your detector. If you want to make things right then please do so and mail me the detector or even mail me the money that I spent on the packs. If you want to know how much to mail then please email me. Or if you are unhappy with the packs then please take out all the batteries and the charger and ship them back to me. I hope that you change your mind and make things right Paul. I

I hope that Paul feels ashamed of himself, not the way to do business / deals and fob others off or blank them.

This is well out of order, and I would not for even one minute be surprised if someone was to bash the living daylights out of him for the way he has conducted himself on this. If he said that he was going to send you the Prizm V as payment, he should have kept to the bargain and not tried to sell it. Disgraceful !

To Bountyhunter1972 (Tom Templeton) It took you 4 months to convert these packs.I have been patient all that time.There were times when you wouldn't answer my emails or respond.You got these packs in beginning of Jan.I got them finally at end of April.Thats 4 months.I have only had them going on 2nd weeks.I have nit completely tested them!I asked you to use good batteries.I even gave you the best brands to use based on tests.So what did you do you used batteries that suited what you wanted to spend.The batteriesyou used have the highest discharge rate of brands just sitting.You also used a lower mah rating battery allso.You cut corners installing them also you know it and I know it I:E soldering,heat shrink tape,batteries,etc just to name a few.I lost 4 months detecting.I had patience obviously you don't,its a pity you have to lie publicly.And defame me here on this forum,I would never had done this to you.Tom.PS my detector is down and being repaired at whites.so it is not using your batteries etc and your charger.OH yeah thats another thing I made it perfectly clear I did not wabt China made junk guess where that charger yuu sent me is made..You are getting your junk back !!!You would have got what was coming to you until I saw this post Tom.And I will spend more money to ship your stuff back to you.Though by rights I should wait make you wait 4 LONG MONTHS:veryangry:

I'll weigh in, sad that you guy's can't sort it out don't know who is right or wrong here as there usually is the truth somewhere in the middle, notice both of you have only been on this board a short time. Best thing would be talk to each other.

Bountyhunter1972 (Tom Templeton) has now resorted to leaving me profanity emails telling me to get - - - - - - i for one refuse to stoop to his level of maturity or lack of.And will not comment further on this subject on this post .And I will no longer post on this forum.It is not worth the grief I been put through.To those that I had the pleasure of corresponding with here its been a pleasure .Thank You
 
You know Paul, you can say what you want but there is nothing wrong with the packs that I built for you. Energizer batteries are great batteries I use them myself and so do others, the charger is a good charger, everything comes form China. The problem was that you kept in touch until you got everything then disappeared, and now matter what I used in the packs you would have cried about it so that you don't have to pay for them. I am sorry it turned out this way, and it wasn't 4 month's. Keep up the story time Paul, but like I said I am done with you. I bet you good money I won't see the batteries, charger or the detector for payment. But either way I'm done with you, I was honest and mailed everything out to you without being paid first, yea I am such a scammer, I got one over good on you huh. While I sit here with nothing but wasted money.

Sorry to everyone on there to have done this and behaved in such a manner. I just wanted people to know. As said before I am done with this. Have fun Paul.

Paul, all in all you got something for nothing so far.
Did you specify a delivery date?
Were the components built to the specs you requested?

All of the OEM (Minelab for example) chargers that I have had were made in China,
I don't like that either. But, the question is: did they work?

If so, then you owe Tom something. The original agreement was for the White's Prizm, that should settle it.

And no, I'm not gonna 'zip it'.
You accepted the shipment from Tom, you owe him. Plain & simple.
 
You know I got some of the batteries and charger back. However he stills has a full pack and he made sure to keep the plugs that make it a rechargeable. How convenient is that I wonder. Well I can't complain to much, I at least got most of it back.
