Needle in sandpile

Today I was on the way up the beach heading back to my truck. My 800 got a pretty iffy signal but I was nearly back to my truck so I decided to dig. I struggled to find the target and pulled out my PP. The carrot was indicating something in the pile as well so I kept looking. I finally saw it. A rusty 1.5" sewing needle. I couldn't believe it but couldn't find anything else in the pile. I think it was about 12-14" down when I started.

The EQ will find the littlest of target sometimes it will drive you nuts trying to locate it.

On my very first day of metal detecting with my Nox 600, with ZERO metal detecting experience.... I pulled up a wire twisty bread tie that was 10 in deep in hard ground. God.. I hope I never do that again..!! Yes the Equinox can dig deep.
