Needing a Soccer Field pep-talk!

I need all you Expert MD Afficionados to tell me why soccer fields are always at the top of the list. I went to one the other day and nosed around all over it. My yield: two bottlecaps. Near the garbage can. (I did find a penny by the concession stand.) Do you go all over the field, or do you concentrate where all the Soccer Moms sit to watch the game?

Don't forget that each teams sit opposites each other most of the time.
On the sidelines that is and also the spectators will sit with team of choice..
I will grid the whole field eventually and find some good clad ,rings and jewelry i.e. ear rings etc.
Grid searches are time consuming but usually worth the effort. :detecting:

i usually find most of my coins on the sidelines & in a big half circle in front of the goalpost that's closest to the car park & for gold & silver i find most 3m ether side of the sidelines ( in the field & out ) & in the middle of the Field were most of the players are when playing there games. so i usually grid the hole field :detecting:

I hit them all over. Great spots for coins, rings, and jewelry. They are popular so get hit a lot by other beeper swingers.

I hunt them right after they get done, usually Saturday afternoon late, after 3pm, and find quite a lot of items, loose change, Clad,
to bottle openers, to a full beer still cold, and capped, i do one side at a time, and its time consuming, it always amazes me how fast some coins sinks in to the grass, penny's and nickles sink up to a 1/4 inch in just a full hour and it seems they stop at about 2 inch's by next week end
then on the other side they just sit there on top all week,
just work them slow, in fact go during the games one time just to see where everyone sets up, the hit them after they go home and then the other side early the next morning
Good luck Bob
