Hey guys.. i am looking to buy my first machine and a guy is selling a Musketeer advantage..... Is this a good detector or what?

If you want to beach hunt, park and schools for coins, and relic hunt, then the "Musky" would work fine for you.
There are a lot of folks that use them and think they are better than the Sovereign series of detectors.
I have not personally used one much but have seen a lot of good things posted about them.
Do a search on "musky", "musketeer", or "advantage" and I am sure you will find some posts about them.

iv owned both and of the 2 the GT is better.its deeper, has tone id and will run great on wet salt beach where the Musky will not.the Musky is a great coin shooter, just not quite as good as the GT or any of the Sovereings.

Give us some details on what you are looking to hunt, Surf, Sand Or Turf or all

ThrowDown i see on metal detecting forum that you got the Musketeer and you did great your first time out! way to throw down brown. The Musketeer is great for the beginner and the pro.Keep practicing, like keep working the sensitivity, keep it as high as you can stand it without making to much noise,Take it out of auto ground balance and see if you can manually ground balance to the soil you are detecting in,and work the discriminator control up and down, put it in all metal pinpoint for helping you pinpoint the tough targets etc...but it looks like you and the Musketeer are working well together.good luck!.Chuck.Oh i forgot, read your manual over and over again untill you have it memorized!...................
