Need tip on cleaning silver coin

Folks,

Could use some input. I found a silver barber quarter 1907 O. Not a key date. It has a blackish gray color to it. Not black just in the crevices like some I have found, but black and gray all over. It responded very little to toothbrush and soap. I'm considering trying Never Dull but was wondering if there were any other ideas to help restore it to its normal silver color.

Thanks,

did you use toothpaste or just soap. if just soap try a dab of toothpaste. not only may it become clean again it will have fresh minty scent as well. lol i know toothpaste works well with silver jewelry never used it on a coin so keep that in mind.

Try soaking the coin in a baking soda and water paste! Most of the time that will remove the blackness but never rub a coin that is of a special date or is valuable!

Hope this helps and good luck and Happy Hunting!

God Bless!
