Need the "Scoop" on Scoops

I am thinking about getting the 08 Stealth Scoop from Sun Spot. Has anyone got some good experience using this scoop? Give me some feedback please. I am also considering the Nutall 48". I appreciate your input!

Most of the stainless steel scoops are excellent, the issue is weight and how much you are willing to carry around. I have the Nutall, it is very good especially on rocky beaches, that point will cut right into the sand, shells and rocks. I know of people who own the stealth and they love it, the big one takes a big bite of the sand and can be very difficult to lift up when the sand is wet, whereby the smaller one is easier to lift. Then there is the story of price, it is all what you can afford.

I have a Reilly's Pro Hand scoop that I purchased a few years ago. I added a 48" handle with spring button take down handle for ease of storage when traveling. This scoop is lightweight and digs very well on the beach where I vacation. No rocky areas, just good sandy beaches.

I purchased the 48" Nuttall scoop from Travis last year before vacation. 1st impression, Very high quality scoop, no short cuts here and will last a lifetime if taken care of. I like the point of the scoop it helps bite in when your on the deep targets where you get into the pan of the beach where the packed sand and small shells are settled. I dug some cell phones last year on the beach at least 2 ft or more with it and the only thing it needs is to add a handle to pull it out of the deep holes when it's loaded with sand.

I had a sunspot but sold it... I like the round enclosed scoops more because I lost a ring when I was hit with a wave using the sunspot years back... I have used for 7 years Babbs scoops with the stainless lip... I dig in the rocks, mud whatever with no issues... I'm sure RTG is just as good but at the time I don't believe RTG was making the aluminum scoops with the stainless lip... as to the nuttall good scoop but too heavy for me...

along with all the rest, this scoop sets the bar!

and its also built ____ tough! LOL

Steve :)
