Need technical help

New member
Used my wireless headphones today while on a hunt. The plug is 1/8" so I had to use my 1/4" adapter. Don't know how it happened but the tip of the adapter broke inside the control box. Can't seem to get the tip out and was just wondering if anyone had ever had this problem. Should I send it back to Minelab or try using an easyout? This is an Xterra 50. I have included some pics. Thanks for any help. John

If you don't want to risk the above, try needle nose, inserted closed together, then spread open hard, up against the inner wall of the broken portion. Also might try a small dowel that you can put some hot glue on the tip and get in place real quick.

Good luck,
BarnacleBill

If you take the head apart it will come out. Or if you have a hemostat you might be able to grab it.

I used a drill bit that just barely fit into the tip then turned the bit slowly by hand till it grabbed and pulled it out. No damage and machine works great. Don't know why tip broke off adapter. Thanks, John
