Need some Information on Bandido II U-max

Prospector

I have just picked up a Bandido II U-max and need some input from others. I hope to use it for coins and jewelry and also for relic hunting. What would be the best all around coil for both, or would I need two different coils, one for coins and rings, and another for deeper relics? Also, how does it compare in the depth department to the Cibola and Vaquero? I thought about an 8 1/2" Widescan coil, but don't know that much about them. Any other information would be appreciated.

I have found the B2mm to be an excellent detector for detecting brass buttons & bronze coins. I'd use a different unit for silver coins though but since I love relics more ...this would be one of my top choices for a good relic unit.

Since it has a manual ground balance I can tune it to hunt well in our highly mineralized ground. Good finds doesn't always mean we have to dig deeper. I have done well with the a 4 inch small coil in moderate to trashy sites. At one time I also had a widescan coil and it also had very good separation but you will need to know how to pinpoint properly. The larger coils of 10 or more makes it top heavy and it hurts my arm even if you mount it backwards...I would not get one again. Loved the unit and have regrets for selling it...it did very well in my soil and the tones were real good and less iffy than a Vaquero that I now own.

Hope this helps.

[size=large]... You have a very good detector in the Bandido II

I have to go along with Monte - I use the either the 7" concentric or the 7"widescan a good bit on my Tesoros, but don't sell the stock 8 inch short. It does a good job as well. My two bits.
