I have an Explorer XS and want to put a momentary button on the handle for the pinpoint. I have the button installed and the two wires fed up into the control box. I just need to know where exactly I have to connect the two wires to make it functional.
I am including a pic that I saved from here of someone that put a switch on theirs. I saved the pic but didn't catch the name of the poster. So when you see the pic and recognize the machine would you please respond so I can complete the project.
Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Well after going through several pages of mods I found the person that posted this pic. Looks like I was wrong about his switch. In the other photos I see an X1 probe and this must be the switch for that.
I still would like to correctly wire my pinpoint button if anyone here can advise me.

Got my switch all hooked up. Works great.
Only thing I had to learn was to just touch the switch and let go to activate it. At first I was holding the button on the momentary switch. That gave me a message on the screen about using the pinpoint button. So I reopened the box to see if something had moved. Went back out and just bumped the switch. Viola' it worked exactly like I want it to.
Thanks Findmall for this great section on Modifications, and thanks to all the great people that make up this forum.
