Need some ideas for hunting in ivy??

unearth

Member
I was asked to find a ring lost 4 years ago in an ivy garden. I don't know yet how high or thick the ivy is, but I will find out. I have a CTX with all 3 coils. Any suggestions about which coil and which program to get the best results? Thanks in advance for any input on this endeavor.

I suppose I would start with the small coil, and an open screen. If it is gold or platinum, dig all tones and if a silver ring then just the numbers about 30. If they have not added dirt or fill or mulch it should be fairly shallow. If the ivy is so dense you cant get the coil down in it I would switch to a bigger coil and crank up the sensitivity.
