i found this at a dump site in the woods a few years ago, and its been sitting since i have no idea what it is besides a whistle.
i was wanting to know if any one has any info on it, like who made it, year of it, and if its worth anything thing.
thanks for any responses.

and I'm surprized the paint is still on a dug one. These folks might be able to help more. Let us know what they say. They have a volume control button for Peter

not much help with the description:

Vintage1940`s-50`s Motorcycle PoliceToy Whistle, Neat

This has got to be one of the coolest toy whistles I have ever seen. It has a motorcycle policeman riding on top of the whistle. It`s in very good condition and made of red and clear plastic with no cracks or breaks and it works well. It has little red beads in the whistle that spin when blown into. It measures over 4" long.

Description
VINTAGE WHISTLE W/ POLICEMAN MOTORCYCLE SPINNING BEADS
This whistle from the 1950s does work and is about 4 inches long and the figure (I think it is a policeman) is about 1 3/4 inches tall. The beads in the wheels and the big circle (see picture) go around when you blow into the whistle. The place for blowing has some wear but otherwise there are no cracks or chips.

the item is made of plastic, we were walking in the woods one day and seen alot of glas everywhere so i figured this might be a dump site from some one.
found alott of bottles and found this whistle, and have held onto this since it was found about 8 years ago.
i was thinking on going back to the site and dig more ;)
and this has the beads still in the whistle to.
i just wanted to thank you all for your responses, and the ebay ones look exactly the same.
thanks

From other sources on the web. No picture to confirm but the description seems to be a match:

SPEED-KOP (Speed Cop) Whistle. An Old American Plastic Toy Police Motorcycle whistle in excellent condition, is 4-1/2 inches long. Made by COMMONWEALTH PLASTICS CORP. LEOMINSTER, MASS. in the early 1950's.

Way cool toy, cell. I can just picture brush-cut little grubbers running around srieking that whistle with the beads in the wheels spinning around like crazy. :D
