Need some ID help............................

found this neat little item yesterday with the C$ - I'm not sure what it is or what it came off of - any help would be appreciated!!! The top appears to gold or gold plate with three initials "MEW" and each side has one gold heart with the rest most likely brass. Thanks for looking - Hawkeye Jim.

I don't believe it is a wax seal - some kind of decoration I think.

a cufflink, maybe? I doubt it's a wax seal, or the script E would be reversed. I found a signet ring early this year that might have doubled as a wax seal, since one of the letters was reversed.

I believe the pointed end looks like it might of broken off whatever it was attached to - someone on another forum thought it might be from a fancy "Hat Pin"!!! Hawkeye Jim.
