Mike,

I got these from Crosswalk.com They have a little Bible Study tool section. The Christian group Burlap to Cashmere also has an excellent song called Treasures In Heaven...if you can find it, it is definately worth the purchase(the CD is called Anybody Out There?)Here is a link where you can listen to a free 30 second clip(little button to the left of the song title)... Treasures In HeavenYou have to have pop-up's allowed(at least temporarily)to play the song.

Proverbs 2:1-5
1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, 3 and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

Isaiah 33:5-6
5 The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness. 6 He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

Matthew 13:44
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Mt 19:21
Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.

2 Cor. 4:7
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

1 Tim. 6:19
In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Rev. 20:18-23 If you think about it-the steets are the purest gold and the foundation is made of precious stones: we will be walking on the gold and the foundation is the part of the building that would normally be in the dirt at least partially. As if there would be dirt-dirt in heaven. The point being that that which we hold as precious here on earth is now trodden under. That which is held to be of value by the world is neither of value there nor should it be here only for the glory of God!

Heb. 11:24-26. Although not an Egyptian Moses was in line for the throne as the Pharoh did not have a son. He "gave up the treasures". The court of the Pharoh would of had extensive use of gold, jewels etc. They had taken what was uncommon and made it common. If something has become common it no longer has value. The Egyptians were disgusted by anyone that herded animals and that is what the Hebrews did. Also Joseph when he was next to the earler Pharoh gave them the best land in the country. He forssok all the high stuff and fled after killing the Egyptian to become a sheepherder. From top to bottom in one quick moment. Yet he loved his people and went back to Egypt to bring them out through the Lord.

Amazing what can be done when you get it right.
May God bless you all and may God bless y'all.

RE 3.18....I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Spiritual Riches:

PR 8.18...Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

PR 10.22...The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

PR 13.7...There is that makedth himself rich, yet hath nothing; there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

PR 13.22...A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children : and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Hope this helps you!

God Bless!
