Need some help with a piece I dug this morning.:garrett:

Dug this piece this morning with what appears to have a shield on it? It is bigger then a silver dollar. Anyone know what it might be? It was the entire length of the Pro Pin pointer deep. The shotgun shell with "nitro club" on it was new to me and I have been shot gunning for 60+ years. It appears to be a Remington nitro club shell and from the info I got on line they were made from 1922-1934. The 41 Merc. is there for size and I dug it yesterday from an old park. Thanks for any help anyone might give. HH jim tn

Looks like a horse bridle to me but I'm not sure of the age!

More nice finds, Jim! That shield piece is intriguing -wish I could help ID it. With the two dimples on the back, it could have been on a leather strap, like a bridle, or even a badge or buckle?? I'm curious to hear if you learn more about it, looks like it's got some good age!

That's my guess also, a bridle rosette, cool finds.
