Need some/help info on loading pictures

My digital camera only takes pictures over 3 GB size,, this site only allows 420 KB only I would like upload some pictures..thanks
 
Just about any photo editing program will let you resize photos... You probably got one with your camera. A good freebie is Irfanview (PC), and I got tired of giving Adobe too much money for Photoshop & Fireworks, so I went open source and now use Gimp. Some love it (me!), some hate it. Windoze also has a simple image editor.

Anyhow, open the photo in your favorite program and choose EDIT>RESIZE (varies by program... "Save for Web" in Photoshop/Fireworks) and make it 1000 x 800(??) or 800 x 600 or thereabouts and save it where you can find it. Oh, save it as a .jpg file, quality around 85.

The forum software will automatically make a smaller version in the post, which will open the full size version if clicked on. If you want to get silly and write text interspersed with photos like me, I think you have to use a 3rd party image hosting service like ImageShack.com or your own server like I do. Otherwise, all the pics go at the bottom of your post, fine for most folks.
