Need some HELP in getting info online!!!!!

Been trying to get any info online that will help research area's in my state (Nebraska). I know I will need to go the
historical institute in the off season, but would like to research and get some info off the computer without going in
circles or having to pay to join a web site. Everything I've tried ends up just frustrating me. Does anyone have some
inside tips on how and where to look that won't waste my time...Getting hooked on MD and would really like to hear
from any of you pro's out there. Tried to go to Sandborn but that was like trying to find a needle in a haystack....
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks in advance.....Jeff

Is your local library! They will have alot of info on your local history!

T - About 90 % of my research is done in the library - books & maps. The internet is helpful some times but no comparison for reading & seeing in the public & ,moreso, the university & college's libraries. Steve in so az

Welcome to the forum, tbirds, and hope you are able to find the info that you want and need! Your local Historical Societies and libraries are the best for getting information on the state you live in and where you live locally! Good luck and God Bless!
